Some PoP Video Links…

Posted on May 3, 2012 by Tim Saxe

Our friends at PoP Video have gotten a lot of media coverage since their release, and I wanted to highlight a few links here (with a certain amount of self-promotion for VEE, of course!).  We’ll have some more QuickLogic-generated content very soon; but for now, enjoy the links

Engadget

“3.5 ounce peripheral’s capable of 960 x 540 video output and can give you up to two hours of “playtime” on a single charge”

Gizmodo

“the Pop Video iPhone projector from Micron Technology displays higher-resolution than the rest, and is small and cheap enough to be practical”

CNET

“Micron Technology’s upcoming $99 Pop Video pico projector accessory may be the next best thing.”

CNET (2)

Paul’s note: take a look at the video!

YouTube

“The PoP Video will be a 10 lumen device but that will be compensated for with the QuickLogic VEE enhancement technology that will brighten, adjust contrast and sharpness, and make our projection look better than higher lumen devices. Lumens are the wrong standard to judge or compare pico projectors anymore.”

“The PoP Video contains VEE from Quicklogic”

PicoPros

“QuickLogic announced that its Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) technology is being used in Micron’s Pop Video pico projector accessory for the Apple iPhone.  VEE is designed to enhance the “effective lumens” of an image – making it appear brighter, with better contrast.”

Pacific Media Associates

“the PoP Video…incorporates QuickLogic’s Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) to improve viewability”

Hi Paul, did Micron need Apples blessing(approval) to make the Pop Video for the iPhone?

      Terence,

I can’t answer that question, as it would fall under NDA we have with Micron. The best place to ask would be directly at thepopvideo.com.
